The Elementary Years

β€œLet us give him a vision of the whole universe. The universe is an imposing reality, and an answer to all questions. We shall walk together on this path of life, for all things are part of the universe, and are connected with each other to form one whole unity.”

Cosmic Education, the driving force of the elementary curriculum, is based on the premise that children learn naturally and what teachers must do is support that innate tendency of the child to explore, discover and make sense of the world around them. We help them connect the interrelated parts and foster their love and awe of the myriad of life on planet earth.

We structure our environments to fully realize the potential of the age. Large blocks of time give rise to expansive projects and naturally increase depth of study as students fully engage themselves, confident in the knowledge that they will have time to reach a level of personal satisfaction in their work. The child develops academic, social and moral responsibility by experiencing increased freedom of choice. With a span of first to fifth grade, students have many opportunities to participate in the class as both learners and teachers.
