Into to Architectural Drawing

July 6-9th

In this class, students will be introduced to the basic methods of architectural drawing. Buildings are a major part of our lives, our homes, where we go to school, where we shop for groceries. They are all desighned to function and feel a certain way. How do architects and interior designers create these feelings and functions? What do you consider a nice space to be? Do you like round rooms, small rooms, dark rooms, colorful rooms, wood floors, big windows? Instructor Sophie Zifcak is currently a Pacific Crest primary assistant in Deb’s class. She has a BFA in Interior Design from Pratt Institute and over 5 years of experience as an interior designer on projects ranging from large hotels to small home remodels. The first part of the week we will site measure and draw a plan of a room here at school. The second part of the week, students will design and draft the kitchen or bathroom of their dreams. This is a great opportunity for those with a keen interest in design and drawing as well as those who are simply curious about what is around them. Materials needed for the class will be provided.
